오래전부터 개인적으로 동영상 스트리밍 서비스에 관심이 많아 리눅스서버로 구현할 수 있는
다양한 스트리밍을 구축해오다 근래 들어 웹서버의 운영체제와 웹서버버전을 업그레이드하게됨.
개인적으로 다양한 미디어 관리를 위해 개발했던 프로그램의 코드가 최신 PHP 환경에서 상당부분
수정해야 하는 부분이 생겨서 그냥 새로운 미디어 프로그램을 찾아 봄.
예전에 상용이였던 media streaming 서비스의 대가 Plex media server 가 공개(완전공개는 아니)
된 기능이 있어 이 기회에 변경해 봄.
막상 사용해 보니 역시~ 스트리밍은 물론이고 미디어 관리까지 확실히 상용 버전의 위엄을 느낌.
아마도 앞으로는 Plex 제품을 주로 사용할 거 같아 이 기회에 정리해 봄.
섪치나 구성은 무지 간담함.
아래 다운로드 페이지에서 관련 패키지를 다운로드함.

yum install plexmediaserver*.rpm
systemctl start plexmediaserver
systemctl enable plexmediaserver
설치는 이것으로 끝..
미디어 파일을 관리할 디렉토리를 생성함.
mkdir -p /media/movie
mkdir -p /media/private_video
mkdir -p /media/public_video
.
.
해당 디렉토리 위치에 각각 동영상 파일을 옮겨둠.
http://<server_ip>:32400/web 으로 브라우저 접속
최초 구글계정이나 페이스북 계정으로 접속함. 이후 우측 상단 계정에서 이메일 주소형식의
계정 생성이 가능함.
좌측 레이어 메뉴 라이브러리 부분에서 라이브러리 추가 클릭.
생성한 미디어 디렉토리를 선택함.
미디어 스캔 .. 끝…
웹 브라우저에서는 무료로 동영상 스트리밍 이용이 가능하다.
스마트폰의 경우 PLEX 사에서 제공하는 APP 이 있음. 무료버전은 동영상 마다 1분까지 시청이 가능함.
인앱구매를 하면 영구적으로 사용이 가능함.
구글 스토어에서 5400원 정도에 구매 가능함.
개인용 미디어 서버로 이용할 경우, free plex media server 를 이용해도 충분해 보임.
이밖에서 프로미엄가입을 하면 모든 기능 이용이 가능함. 외부 사용자 대상으로 서비스를
하고자 할경우에는 프로미엄 가입으로 정식 버전이 필요할듯 함.
저처럼 개인 동영상 관리가 필요할 경우에는 공개버전을 사용해도 전혀 부족함이 없어 보임.
개인 웹서버가 있으신 분은 한번 구축해서 운영해 볼만 하네요.
